The Fundraising Campaign Specialist, leads the execution of MS Queensland's peer to peer and major events as part of the wider fundraising events portfolio. This role is responsible for leading set campaigns (including MS Brissie to the Bay and MS Moonlight Walk) ensuring objectives and KPI's are met year on year. This role drives key elements of campaigns including the creative look and feel, fundraising and recruitment strategies, project management and supporter communications.
Reporting to the Fundraising Events Manager, additionally, you will:
- Work with the Fundraising Events Manager to develop & implement a 3 year strategy for Fundraising Events Portfolio.
- Develop operational plans for major campaigns MS Brissie to the Bay and MS Moonlight Walk to ensure objectives and KPIs are met.
- Demonstrate a donor centric approach to fundraising through supporter communications to increase retention rates, average fundraising and fundraising rates year on year.
- Drive the telefundraising strategy, to ensure telefundraising KPIs are met and that supporter relationships and customer service are of the highest quality.
- Be responsible for managing, monitoring and evaluating fundraising events, including the day to day project and stakeholder management to ensure all elements of each campaign are completed within budget and set time-frames.
- Work with the marketing team and/or consultants to design, print and distribute event engagement and promotional materials.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar fundraising or marketing role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
- Proven experience of working in an events, peer to peer, or community fundraising environment.
- Strong work ethic: energy, initiative, vision, commitment, and resilience.
- A team-player with down-to-earth, team-orientated and positive, can-do attitude.
- High level of attention to detail as well as the ability to analyse and report on results.
- Ability to solve complex problems and exercise sound judgement and diplomacy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending events outside of business hours as needed.
- Driver's license with flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel as required to fulfil the requirements of the position.
