About the role

The Principal Psychology Educator is responsible for supporting Psychologists and postgraduate psychology students in mental health and general medical settings, across the lifespan. The Principal Psychology Educator will also oversee key initiatives of the Psychology Registrar Program including marketing and recruitment, orientation, learner health and wellbeing, professional supervision, planning, delivery and evaluation of professional development and management of rotations and placements across the health service with leadership support from Profession and Learning & Teaching.

The Principal Psychology Educator will liaise with the Director of Psychology, Psychology Clinical Leads, the Director and Associate Directors of Learning and Teaching, Operational Managers and external stakeholders (for example, education providers) to ensure all governance and clinical requirements of the Profession, Registrar Program and student placements are met in accordance with AHPRA and Psychology Board (PBA) requirements.

The Principal Psychologist will be responsible for the planning and development and management of clinical teaching, clinical education and supervision of psychologists employed in the service, including programs for Interns and Registrars, and the coordination of the professional development of psychologists. The role will also contribute to the delivery of education and support more broadly across the organisation within a multidisciplinary and inter-professional environment.

Psychology is the fourth largest allied health discipline at Eastern Health working across our inpatient and ambulatory general and specialist medical settings, Mental Health and Wellbeing Program and Statewide services. Psychologists are respected and valued members of collegial, multidisciplinary teams and engage in various forms of psychological assessment and intervention work. About you

**To be successful in this role you will possess**:
Continued AHPRA Registration as a General Psychologist

Practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology

Completion of a board approved Masters level (minimum) qualification in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology and eligibility for membership of the College of Clinical Psychologists or College of Clinical Neuropsychologists (Australian Psychological Society) respectively

Current PBA Approved Supervisor Status for supervision of Psychology Registrars to support Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology endorsement pathways.

At least 10 years of experience post qualification

Have demonstrated clinical experience and advance knowledge and skills to be able to provide education and teach other psychologists and/or students
