**The Department**
Alfred Health provides acute clinical care to patients on the acute wards and the Allied Health team includes both Allied Health Practitioners and Allied Health Assistants. Alfred Health's Allied Health comprises a number of Allied Health disciplines that provide patient-centred care across all clinical programs that operate at Alfred Health. The Allied Health team includes clinicians from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nutrition and Psychology (including Neuropsychology) and are supported by Allied Health Assistants. The Allied Health team works closely with the Nursing and Medical teams to provide a comprehensive and timely service to both inpatients and outpatients.
**The Position Summary**
**Experience and Qualifications Required**
- Completion of Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) from a registered training organisation, OR
- Recognised equivalent qualification (as determined by the line manager), OR
- Higher qualification in a relevant allied health discipline at Diploma or Associate Diploma level, OR
- Certificate level qualification in a relevant health-related field, OR
- Overseas-trained Allied Health practitioner with a qualification at Diploma level or higher, OR
- Allied Health undergraduate student (in a relevant health science discipline) having successfully completed at least 1 year
