**Tasks and duties***:

- Diagnosing, repairing and overhauling diesel, petrol and gas-powered vehicles and plant equipment including trucks, tractors, bulldozers, buses, drill rigs and generators.
- Maintaining, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic components of diesel-powered attachments such as hoists, lifts, booms, pumps and buckets.
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
- Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to replace and repair parts.
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
- Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
- Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
- Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
- Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
- Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in Mining Equipment
- 5 years' experience working with Kenworth & Western Star Prime
- Movers and Cummins, Detroit & CAT engines; and/or
- 5 years' repair & maintenance experience working with road train trailers; and/or
- 2-3 years' repair & maintenance experience working with Komatsu and Caterpillar Loaders & Earthmoving Equipment
