
Operations Technician

The role of the Operations Technician (Process Control Technician) is to oversee and control all aspects of the day to day operations and responsibility of operating and adjusting the equipment and systems that control our grading, treating and bagging systems whilst working within a team environment.

To meet all WHS, environmental and quality policies including Operational and General processes:
- Coordinate and control the operations activities including material receivals, chemical treatment, bagging and dispatch
- Test, calibrate the equipment and systems such as scales and pumps etc
- Set up, operate the equipment and systems that control the treatment process, such as PLCs, PID controllers, sensors, etc
- Keep up to date, read and interpret documents like manuals and diagrams
- Monitor readings and data from instruments such as flow, pressure, chemical composition
- Consult with team and other staff to resolve any production issues
- Exam and monitor product to ensure finished products are quality controlled
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing any problems or malfunctions with equipment and liaise with team members
- Plant maintenance and buying of equipment as needed
- Conduct clean-down procedures and operations for different seed varieties whilst wearing appropriate PPE for the job required
- Conduct clean down procedures and operations for chemical plant whilst wearing appropriate PPE for the job required
- Conduct clean down procedures & operations for bagging area of seed varieties and wearing appropriate PPE for the job required
- Any other tasks as required form time to time

- Ability to work under pressure
- A strong safety focus and concern for the health and well being of yourself and your work colleagues
- Meet deadlines and deliver information with a high level of accuracy
- Current Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence
- Maintaining experience in fields of operation and undertaking required training
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Work Methods and Employee Code of Conduct
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Willingness to undertake further professional development
- Ability to work in a busy seasonal roster including shifts work
- **Highly Desirable**:
- Vocational or Tertiary qualifications in a related field;
- Extensive experience in manufacturing process controls, or related area
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 - 45 per week
Schedule:
- Shift work

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
