We're seeking a Civil Supervisor to join a giant in the mining sector. We have people well established in this team, and want you to be next.

We have a new requirement for a Civil Supervisor and Track Supervisor, for this well-known mining organisation. This is a long-term career opportunity. The scope of work is initially for 3 years but is likely to be ongoing, meaning you can make this a real career move.

This is a FIFO role, offering exceptional hourly rates. They are ideally looking at a 2:1 roster however there is some flexibility here if required. You'll be FIFO to Port Hedland, staying at state-of-the-art facilities. This is a true leadership position - you'll have up anywhere from 20-40 contractors working under you.

This team is responsible for executing large-scale capital and operation expenditure track works including track renewal/reconstruction (plain line, turnouts, cross overs), re-rail & stress management and rail civil works.

You'll add value by:

- Supervise and manage the safe execution of track renewals track activities.
- Develop methodologies to improve safety and efficiency, and to reduce cost.
- Develop and sustain a strong safety and collaborative culture in the track renewals team.
- Supporting the Project Manager in project delivery, ensuring works are constructed to contract requirements and timelines.

In terms of your background, you'll ideally have experience in:

- Supervisory experience in track renewals including plain line, turnouts and cross overs, level crossings, re rail and stress management
- Good communication, interpersonal and people management skills with a range of audiences.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft suite, 1SAP and planning systems.
- Good planning skills and the ability to oversee projects to successful completion.
- Administration and prioritisation including time management capability.
- Competent in reading detailed plans and elevations.
- Sound judgement including balancing competing issues.
- Ability to identify risks and implement controls to manage the risk.
