DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE JAG is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of our new Kotara store.
Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will play a key role in helping to deliver outstanding customer experiences, meet sales targets, and maintain the high standards of the JAG brand.
You will support the Store Manager by overseeing day-to-day operations, coaching and motivating the team, and ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication skills and a passion for retail excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE Help foster a customer-first culture by supporting excellent brand presentation and customer service.
Address customer issues promptly and effectively, escalating when needed.
Assist in delivering engaging brand stories and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
2. SALES AND PROFITABILITY Support the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets.
Assist in monitoring sales performance and contribute ideas to improve store results.
Help optimise labour scheduling to align with sales and budget goals.
3. TEAM LEADERSHIP Assist in leading, coaching, and motivating the store team to deliver high performance.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.
Maintain open communication with the Store Manager and contribute to a positive store culture.
Help conduct regular performance feedback and support development opportunities.
4. OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT Assist in overseeing daily store operations including stock management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
Ensure all workplace health and safety standards are upheld.
Support the completion of retail compliance audits and store administration tasks.
Stay informed on company policies and procedures and help ensure the team adheres to them.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Contribute to achieving sales and profitability targets.
Help maintain high standards of store presentation and customer satisfaction.
Support a motivated, well-trained, and engaged team.
Assist in ensuring compliance with WH&S requirements and completion of training.

EXPERIENCE 2+ years in retail leadership, preferably in an assistant or supervisory role.
