We seek a strategic thinker who is passionate about the product, customers, and the problems we solve, and who drives technical excellence and innovation to deliver high-quality products that support the company vision and mission.ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervise engineering managers and, initially, some engineersPartner with the People team to attract and engage top talentFoster an engaged, collaborative, ambitious, and outcome-driven cultureProvide continuous feedback, address underperformance, and recognize strengths and contributionsEnsure high quality and high velocity execution of the engineering organizationIdentify, evaluate, and optimize processes to maximize efficiencyUnblock the team and push to hit deadlinesAnticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges and collaborate on scalable solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional partners including product, support and GTMSupport the GTM organization in serving key customersPartner with product to deliver solutions that keep DISCO ahead of competitorsUnderstand the music tech landscape and its trends to inform buy/build/partner decisionsRequirementsProven leader who has guided high-performance engineering teams through scaling (company size 70-100+, engineering team 20-40+)Strong track record of hiring and developing diverse talent7+ years of engineering leadership experience, including overseeing an engineering org of 20+Comfortable motivating teams by working with managers and directly with engineersExperience managing hybrid and remote teams across multiple time zones3+ years of experience overseeing AI/ML product development with successful outcomesExperience delivering and maintaining B2B web apps; consumer-facing product experience preferredStrong sense of urgency to deliver results and inspire the teamOwnership and accountabilityStrong architectural experienceWillingness to dive into code when neededStrong technical mastery with commitment to continuous learningBenefitsAt DISCO, you will work remotely (or on a hybrid basis) with a friendly and international team passionate about music.
