We are Goods Grocer Altona.

We are a NEW, fully refurbished Grocer Supermarket and Liquor Merchant open in Altona, Victoria. We are an independent retailer, providing Farm Fresh Produce, Everyday Essentials, Gourmet Groceries and Imported Goods to the local community of Altona and its surrounding suburbs.

As an independent retailer, we strive to provide and maintain a community focused relationship with our customers. This ensures that we continually evolve our product range to best suit our customer's needs.

We are looking for diligent, hard-working and passionate individuals with at least one year of department management experience in perishables (Dairy & Freezer).

The role is best suited to an individual with flexible availability to work a mixture of early mornings and days, including weekends and public holidays when required.

The roles require any of the following:

- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong work ethic
- Cash management/numeracy skills
- Ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet KPI's
- Positive ''can do'' attitude
- Ability to lift heavy items using safe workplace health and safety procedures
- Flexibility across retail trading hours including weekends and public holidays
- At least one year of perishables department management experience
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (all employees are given 30 days from the first day of employment to obtain this certificate at the cost of the employee)

Pay rate is calculated using the current MGA General Retail Industry Award 2020. Classification level is negotiable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-38 per week

**Salary**: From $22.33 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Altona, VIC 3018: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
