JOIN US - SHAPE LIVES - BUILD YOUR CAREER About the Role: We're looking for a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our Accommodation Services team.
You'll assist clients with high support needs, including those using wheelchairs and requiring medical support, helping them live with dignity and independence.The role involves personal care, daily living support, and promoting autonomy within shared living environments.
Benefits: SCHAD's Award Level 2 Pay rates from $34.58 - $37.73 (base rate) or $43.23 - $47.16 (casual rate)Salary packaging + meal/entertainment card (if eligible)Flexible roster with shift work, weekends, public holidays & sleepoversOption to purchase extra annual leave (if eligible)Fitness Passport access for you & familyOngoing training & professional developmentAnnual flu vaccination Duties: Provide personal care and daily living supportAssist with manual handling and use of aidsSupport clients with complex needs and medical requirementsFoster independence and inclusion in shared living environmentsBuild positive relationships with clients and familiesManage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism Skills and Experience: Essential:Experience supporting high-needs disability clientsConfidence in manual handling and use of aidsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsFlexibility for varied shifts and rostered workBasic Microsoft Office skills (Word & Outlook)Current Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police CheckDesirable:Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)Knowledge of NDIA processes About Us: For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has been empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
