In this unique position, you'll have the chance to take on a range of maintenance activities at the Yilgarn Iron Ore Project.
Located in theShire of Yilgarn, on a 14/7 FIFO roster, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.Yilgarn Iron Ore Project includes the sites of Koolyanobbing,Windarling and Parker Range.
The Yilgarn region has a long history of iron ore mining and is located in the Shires or Yilgarn and Menzies with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export.
The productive mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.In this role, you will:Perform the repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentationSource technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer based systemsResponsible for workshop tooling used and advise the Supervisor of any tooling which is unsafeSetting and maintaining high housekeeping standardsCarrying out pre-start checksAbout youTo be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or EquivalentPrevious open cut mining experience in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving fleet essentialProven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all timesWhat Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options - Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usAt Thiess, we partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
