**The Role**:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Worker to work with a client in Caboolture, QLD. Our participant is a 20-year-old male and has sustained Spinal Cord Injury from a motor vehicle accident and require moderate to high intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with **Spinal brain injury** will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight. Our participant requires support 7 days a week.

We can offer both part-time and full-time hours to the right applicants

The shift times are as follows:

- **Monday and Friday - 02.00pm to 09.00pm**

**Pay Rates**:

- Afternoon shift: $44 per hour

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assistance with personal care
- Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
- Prompt the participant to attend his self-catheter if required.
- Hoisting & Transfers (full hoist/sling hoist)
- Medication Prompting
- Attend to thorough skin checks
- Supervision/assistance during meal time
- Assistance with domestic tasks including meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
- Community access + rehab appointments
- Capacity Building and Companionship

**Skills & Experiences**:

- Minimum 6 months of experience with high intensity participant.
- Excellent Communication
- Australian Driver Licence + own vehicle
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
- Current Blue Card
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude
