**The role**:
An exciting opportunity now exists with our client in the communications sector.

**Reporting to the Senior Manager of Workplace Relations**, this role is responsible for the provision of high-quality industrial and employee relations advice and support to key stakeholders to positively influence people

management capability and outcomes. The role will be a sounding board at the Operational Enterprise Bargaining for the Senior Manager Workplace Relations. Working within a centralised model this role delivers a service to all of the company's sites to meet the Workplace Relations plan and enable strategic outcomes.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Co-lead the enterprise bargaining negotiations, and deliver agreed bargaining outcomes in collaboration with Workplace Relations Senior Manager
- Prepare and finalise all the preparatory work for the bargaining process, including the drafting of Log of Claims, Authority to approve documents, position papers for bargaining meetings, and liaison work
between Workplace Relations and operational teams
- Prepare technical reports, policy papers, authoritative briefings and briefing notes on complex employment and industrial relations matters
- Provide expert support and authoritative employment and industrial relations advice, which includes a clear assessment, consideration and articulation of risk, to executive and senior management stakeholders on a range of highly complex and sensitive employment issues
- Provide line management support for the EBA Project Coordinator
- Take a lead role in complex investigations, disciplinary issues and grievances, and provide coaching and support to all managers and employees involved in the process

**To be considered for the above opportunities**:

- Extensive experience in the field of Industrial Relations and/or Employment Law
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading enterprise agreement negotiations with multiple unions preferably in a Public Sector context/framework
- Demonstrated experience in advocacy at courts/tribunals, including the Fair Work Commission
- Ability to perform with competing deadlines respond quickly to urgent/important requests and achieve effective results within given and at times tight time frames
- A strong and structured approach to case management, tracking, and reporting
- Relevant ER/IR advisory work experience in an unionised environment and working knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks
