You will report to the Head of Engineering and solve complex architectural challenges on a global scale.
You will bring your expertise to lead multi-year projects that align with key company objectives and directly connect technical solutions to company goals.Inspire innovation by solving complex problems, proposing solutions, and influencing leadership to implement them, while advancing technical evolution and engineering culture across APAC and beyond through collaboration, enhanced architectures, and the adoption of new technologies.What you'll doShape the forward-looking technical direction and long-term architecture for pillars in the Platform OrganisationCollaborate with product, engineering, and design leaders to influence the broader department-level strategyEnsure that the technical strategy you build is aligned with the technical strategy of Atlassian products and platformsPartner with principal engineers and architects from other teams and guide exploration of large-scale projects spanning multiple teams in EnterprisePropel technical evolution while enhancing the engineering culture across APAC and beyond, promoting cross-team collaboration and delivering measurable resultsBe influential within your team and work with peers and senior leaders to define and revise the standards for operational excellence across AtlassianMentor, hire and develop other engineersQualificationsMinimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in software/technology roles, in Enterprise Products & Solutions in the cloudProficiency with cloud-native technologies, ideally AWSAt least 6 years of experience architecting and implementing multiple features of a SaaS product at a high scale, with reliability of at least 4 ninesExperience with building and delivering multi-tenant cloud-native SaaS softwareStrong understanding of distributed systems, modern cloud-native architectures, and distributed data managementExperience communicating updates and resolutions to senior and executive-level stakeholders and other partners to drive the mission forwardPassion for maintaining high-quality standards in software developmentAbility to articulate and pitch a technical vision to stakeholders and balance short- and long-term objectives, focusing on both technical and business outcomesOur Perks & BenefitsAt Atlassian offers a variety of perks and benefits to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
