We're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to step into a leadership role supporting CHPP operations at a major mining site in the Bowen Basin.This is a key leadership position focused on building a culture of continuous improvement across the maintenance team while driving safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
You'll oversee maintenance crews, supervisors, and planners to ensure the effective delivery of CHPP maintenance and production outcomes.This role is ideal for candidates based in or near Emerald, Blackwater, Rockhampton, Mackay, or elsewhere in the Bowen Basin region.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direction, coaching, and leadership to supervisors and the maintenance crew.Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in maintenance performance.Support the development and management of the CHPP maintenance budget.Oversee and improve systems for safe and efficient CHPP operation.Collaborate with production and planning teams to coordinate maintenance activities.Conduct inspections in accordance with the Mine Inspection Plan.Ensure strict adherence to site health, safety, and environmental standards.BenefitsHourly rate + superannuation, depending on experience and skill set, paid weekly.Contract opportunity with the potential for extension.Senior leadership role with autonomy and strategic input.Be part of a strong and supportive maintenance culture.MSS Employee Assistance Program.Staff uniforms provided.About YouTo Be Successful In This Role, You Will NeedProven experience in a Maintenance Superintendent or senior maintenance leadership role, ideally within CHPP or fixed plant.Demonstrated ability to lead and coach multidisciplinary teams.Budget management and continuous improvement experience.Strong knowledge of site-based safety systems and legislative compliance.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Australian Working Rights.Located within commuting distance to site, or based in the Bowen Basin region.About UsMaintenance Systems Solutions Pty Ltd is a privately owned Australian company with offices throughout Australia and internationally.
