**About the role**

We are currently recruiting for a Gas Technician (Plumbing qualified) who will be responsible for the delivery and quality control of gas meter installations in domestic and commercial settings in field based locations reporting to the Team Leader Gas Metering.

The position will work autonomously and as such will need to exercise judgment, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines. You will ensure all safety, operational procedures, and network standards are implemented and adhered to.
- Complete quality checks to ensure that the meter installation is compliant according to specifications and Jemena Network Operator Rules
- Minimise any potential compliance gaps by enhancing the enforcement of Safety Standards for Gas Fitting and the integrity of the meter installation.
- With additional responsibilities when required
- Ensure the maintenance and integrity of the gas distribution system to maintain supply meeting KPI and contractual obligations

**About you**
- Plumbing/Gas Fitter qualification
- Experience in the gas trade
- Past experience with metering systems, codes and regulations (desirable)
- Driver's Licence
- White card
