Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

The Supportive Palliative Care program is seeking to engage a Pharmacy Technician. This role reports to the Director of Pharmacy. The position is responsible for managing the imprest medications in the Palliative Care ward. This includes the provision of a safe, efficient and effective distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards and departments and providing assistance in the preparation of manufactured sterile and non-sterile products, and dispensing of prescriptions and associated clerical duties.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Successfully completed a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or up to the level of Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and community Pharmacy (eg Charles Sturt University) or has qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent or successfully completed a nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV or has qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and possess good time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate well with the other staff working as part of the team.
- Demonstrated good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous Australian Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
