As our Mechanical Team Lead, you'll guide a talented team of mechanical and process engineers through exciting, complex projects that make a real impact.At WSP you'll find the scale and reach you need to do the kind of work the world needs - and the culture and people that make it the best work of your life.About the role:This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned mechanical engineer to step into a pivotal role within WSP'sSustaining Capital teamin South Australia.
You'll be leading a team of6-7 mechanical and process engineers, guiding them through the delivery of complex mining and infrastructure projects.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, project management, and mentoring.What you'll do:As an integral part of our team of engineers you will:Deliver a broad range of mining and infrastructure projects, including mineral processing, bulk materials handling, tailings systems, mine water, site services, and maintenance facilitiesLead mechanical and multi-discipline design projects across mining and infrastructureMentor and develop engineers through WSP's Thrive programPrepare and manage project proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedulesDevelop and manage existing and new client relationshipsDrive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practicesCollaborate with peers across civil, drafting, E&I, and structural disciplinesAbout YouBachelor's Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineeringAt least10 years' experience as a mechanical engineer, ideally in consulting and miningA natural problem-solver who can lead from the front and support from behindSomeone who'stechnically strong, but also passionate about developing peoplePrior experience in a consulting environment will be well-regardedComfortable navigating complex projects and coordinating across disciplinesExperience in bulk materials handling, tailings systems, or wet processingA background in consulting and a knack for client engagementImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
