Ventia are seeking Permanent Kitchen hands to join the team at Puckapunyal, which is part of Puckapunyal defence base services contract. This role offers full time hours across morning, day and afternoon shift. You will receive an attractive hourly rate of $23.11 per hour plus penalties for OT and weekends plus Super.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure efficient food preparation and assistance with delivery of meal services from production facilities
- Support and participate in the implementation and management of the Food Safety Program, including actively identifying hazards, and recording incidents
- Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment and food preparation areas.
- Assist with the unloading and relocating of stock

**What we are looking for**:

- At least 1 year kitchen hand experience in a bulk cooking environment
- A good relationship builder, with effective communication and an ability to be versatile to help their coworkers in the kitchen
- Be an Australian citizen for defence clearance purposes
