About Our Organisation: Box Hill South Pre School is a warm and inviting, not for profit Community Kindergarten. We offer an exciting, engaging and stimulating play-based program delivered by enthusiastic and passionate educators for sessional 3YO and 4YO groups. Our purpose-built kindergarten is situated in a peaceful and natural setting and shares the wonderful facilities of Box Hill South Family Centre. Our large, bright playroom and spacious outdoor play area allow every child the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential, and the warm and caring environment created by our dedicated teaching team

**Hours of Work of the Role**

Total of 10 hours per week comprising of 6 ECT hours per week plus an additional 4 hours Admin Assistant (if suitable for the role )

**Description**
- Box Hill South Pre School is looking for an ECT or Diploma qualified kindergarten educator to fill a permanent part time role commencing in 2025 in our 3-year-old group. They will work closely with the 3-year-old Early Childhood Educator, 3-year-old educator and the rest of our terrific team. We are looking for someone who has a significant amount of experience in teaching and working in a close team environment. Ideally, the applicant will be seeking long-term, stable employment. **Specific hours are**: This role is made up of 2 components,
- The first part is as an ECT educating the 3 year old group on Monday and Friday. Your contact hours will be 12.30-2.30 on Monday and Friday each week with 30min non-contact after session for pack up and tidy. An additional 1 hour of non-contact to be completed at a time negotiated with the 3yo Teaching team. The 3yo Session times are 8.30-2.30 on Monday and Friday
- The second part includes the role of Administrative Assistant for the right applicant for 4 hours per week, scheduled in consultation with the Nominated Supervisor and Committee of Management (Clerk Award)

- Express a genuine and passion for play based learning
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in educational programming and implementation
- Be willing to work as part of a team to provide a high quality education
- Show a clear understanding of Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, The National Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards and the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework Early Childhood

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA.
- An enthusiasm for play-based early education.
- The ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and other professionals.
- A professional team based work ethic reflecting co-operation, flexibility and respect.
- Knowledge of VEYLDF and NQS.
- Experience planning and implementing educational programs
- Working with children check.
- Police check.

Current first aid - including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training**Requirements**:

**Additional Requirements**

The Administrative role is new and created to support the Committee of Management and the Staffing Team. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the time of the year. Occasionally you may be required at attend and report at Committee meetings. These may be in person or online.
