**Overview**:
We are seeking 2 compassionate and dedicated Disability Employment Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Employment Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals and integrate into the workforce. You will provide personalized support, guidance, and advocacy to help clients overcome barriers to employment, promote independence, and foster their professional growth.

We are seeking 1 worker in the Gold Coast Region, and one in the South Brisbane area.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Client Assessment and Goal Setting**:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Collaborate with clients to establish realistic employment goals and develop personalized action plans.
- **Employment Preparation and Training**:

- Provide guidance and support in resume development, job searching, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.
- Facilitate skill-building workshops and training sessions tailored to clients' needs, including communication skills, time management, and job-specific training.
- **Job Placement Assistance**:

- Assist clients in identifying suitable job opportunities aligned with their skills and career aspirations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local employers to promote inclusive hiring practices and advocate for job accommodations as needed.
- **Advocacy and Support Services**:

- Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to necessary accommodations, support services, and community resources.
- Provide ongoing emotional support, encouragement, and empowerment to clients throughout their employment journey.
- **Monitoring and Follow-Up**:

- Monitor clients' progress towards their employment goals and make necessary adjustments to support plans.
- Conduct regular follow-up meetings and assessments to evaluate clients' satisfaction and address any emerging challenges.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment results, progress notes, and service plans.
- Generate reports to track outcomes, achievements, and areas for improvement, in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of disability rights, employment laws, and accommodations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management.
