- The Program Lead is responsible for service delivery, service improvement, resource and team management including the clinical and administrative functions related to Men's Behaviour Change and Specialised Family Violence Programs within the Regional Services Hub. The aim of these programs is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of victim survivors and their children and reduce or stop the use of all forms of domestic violence. This is a permanent part-time position (4 days a week).- Key elements of the services include:
- Groupwork or one-to-one delivery, case management and counselling to men who use violence in their intimate partner relationships-
- Counselling, case management, advocacy and support for victim/survivors-
- Collaborations with other services to facilitate a multi-service response to family and domestic violence and to support integrated service delivery to clients with referral pathways.- Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Leads and is responsible for the Women and Community Safety client service delivery teams within the Regional Services Hub.-
- Ensures effective communication, compliance, and reporting related to Service Hub Women and Community Safety programs through regular and positive working relationships with stakeholders and delivery teams.-
- Hiring of capable and values-aligned staff and ensure that staff are well supported with appropriate management supervision, clinical supervision, and professional development.-
- Ensure services are welcoming, accessible, compassionate, person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally safe, and inclusive of all who present. Include perspectives of First Nations peoples, people with disability, members of LGBTQIA+ communities and people from CALD communities.-
- Maintain own (reduced) client case load.-
- Ensures program practices meet organisational, legislative, and clinical governance requirements by conducting regular reviews and evaluation of team, program, and client satisfaction-
- Ongoing monitoring and review of the budget in consultation with line manage to ensure that the program expenditure is within designated budget.-
- Ensure a program risk management framework effectively operates to identify and mitigate program risks.- Qualifications, Skills and Experience needed:
- Relevant Degree qualification and demonstrated work experience in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent.-
- Experience in leading a counselling or mental health team - highly desirable in a faith-based context-
- Experience in delivering services to men who use violence in intimate partner relationships; and support to partner/survivors.-
- A hands-on leader, with demonstrated experience including the coaching, mentoring, and training of your team.-
- Leadership and relational skills, with a desire to support high performance teams and adopt a proactive attitude.-
- Current unrestricted driver's licence and a willingness to drive between sites as required.-
- Current WWCC, National Police Check and appropriate Clinical Registration. i.e. minimum level 4 ACA, PACFA Clinical, APHRA, AASW mental health social worker accreditation.-
