**The Company**
Our client based in Newcastle NSW, currently employs up to 500 people across multiple locations in Australia and internationally. They provide their customers with a wide product range across multiple areas of the manufacturing industry. The company has experienced continual growth by securing contracts with major suppliers across Australia. Due to their success, an opportunity has become available for an experienced WHSE Manager.

**The Role**
Reporting to the Group People & Culture Manager, the WHSE Manager will own and drive the WHSE agenda, working in partnership with the management team, key internal and external stakeholders in driving a continuous improvement culture to create a safer work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements in QLD, NSW, and VIC
- Identify risk, proactively seek solutions, and implement best practice systems in the workplace
- Ensure all operations have a thorough understanding of WHSE policies and procedures adhering to current WHS legislative requirements
- Lead, develop and review safety management plans
- Manage WHS audits, safety risk assessments, incident reports, and investigations
- Communicate and promote a safe working culture and environment
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build positive relationships and achieve business goals
- Deliver WHS and compliance training to managers and internal staff
- Oversee worker's compensation process from incident to return to work
- Provide coaching and guidance to team leaders/managers on all WHS matters

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

- Strong experience within a similar position, ideally within the manufacturing industry
- Successful completed tertiary qualifications in WH&S
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally as well as externally to deliver business outcomes
- A strong passion for delivering safety and quality
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, policies, and procedures
- Experience with ISO accreditation and audit requirements
- Ability to work autonomously.
