As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled IT-focused Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our Finance Division's Reporting Team and turn data into insights that drive strategic and commercial decisions.
About the Role
As a BI Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, ensuring stakeholders have accurate and actionable insights.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models based on business requirements.
Write, optimise, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and data warehousing.
Build robust business logic, support testing and deployment, and follow BI development best practices.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through structured ETL processes.
Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and end-users to deliver actionable insights.
Monitor and optimise performance across BI solutions and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Contribute to continuous improvement of BI development practices and share knowledge across teams.
Support data governance, privacy, and security compliance.
About You
We're seeking a technically strong and experienced BI Developer with a passion for transforming data into insights. You will ideally have:
A background in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, and a relevant tertiary qualification
At least 3 years' experience working with Power BI, including report and data model development.
Strong SQL programming skills and experience with relational databases.
Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Exposure to tools and technologies such as DBT, MS Azure, Python, Fivetran, Azure DevOps, is desirable but not essential.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise work effectively.
