Overview
Marina Radiology is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Sonographer to join our dynamic team. As the Chief Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our sonography department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and the highest standards of medical imaging services.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sonography department, including scheduling, workflow management, and staffing
Perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, and musculoskeletal scans
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to the sonography team, ensuring consistent and high-quality imaging procedures
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our medical imaging services through the development and implementation of innovative techniques and technologies
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years' experience as a qualified sonographer, with a proven track record of excellence in the field of medical imaging
Registered with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
Exceptional clinical skills and knowledge of a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures
Strong leadership and management abilities, with the capacity to motivate, inspire and mentor a team of sonographers
Be proactive and efficient in problem solving with a focus on continuous improvement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
Commitment to continuous professional development and the implementation of best practices in medical imaging
