The Opportunity:As a Senior Landscape Architect there is a requirement to deliver on a day-to-day basis high quality technical, production and design input to the Design team.
This involves demonstrating a broad understanding, passion and emerging skill base in the areas of landscape, built form, public realm design and placemaking.You will work closely with our clients to shape cities and communities to deliver excellent client and community outcomes.
This includes the ability to deliver and manage small to medium projects and support the design team nationally.
Integral to this position is the achievement of individual and commercial targets.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting local and national Design teams in delivering small to medium projects across a variety of sectors, including urban regeneration, infrastructure, greenfield developments, open space, retail, and commercial projects.Contributing to all stages of the design process from site analysis, master planning and concept design through to documentation, tendering and construction administration.Applying sound knowledge of landscape architecture, construction processes, and relevant Australian Standards to produce high-quality design outcomes.Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.Assisting with fee proposals, tracking project budgets, and providing regular updates to senior team members.Promoting the firm's services and supporting business development initiatives.About you:Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or related fieldsMinimum 5 – 8 years relevant experience, ideally gained in a private practice or with local council or government.Brings an understanding of design principles and methods and the ability to apply them in the urban environment.Advanced and efficient skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino and/or other 3D modelling softwareAdvanced and efficient skills in relevant components of the Adobe SuiteSuccessfully manages client priorities and expectations;Demonstrates adaptability when dealing with problems and changes to priorities;Communicates graphically at an advanced level using both digital and hand drawn formats to convey design ideas and concepts or documentationWhy Urbis?
