Healthdirect Australia is a government-owned, not-for-profit organisation who works with purpose and dedication to help Australians actively manage and improve their health. We work on new and exciting projects that help shape the way government response uses technology.

Our virtual services are easily accessible via multiple channels, including helplines, video call solutions, apps and websites and cater for Australians at all stages of life, ranging from practical and emotional support during pregnancy through to advice about aged care and helping Australians through the COVID-19 pandemic.

**About the opportunity**

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Experience in data handling and management. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data is maintained through robust and systematic controls.
- Derive measurement indicators from multiple data sources and prepare analytical datasets.
- Identify the appropriate method of statistical analysis for the evaluation of health intervention programs, and health outcome research.
- Assist in writing statistical analysis plans.
- Summarise analysis results and assist in report writing.
- Working closely with program managers and providers, using above skills to ensure the reliability and robustness for program evaluation.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional analysis and commentary that supports quality and service development improvements

**What we're looking for**
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, data science, economics, psychology, or philosophy). PhD students are encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability in utilizing statistical modelling and analytical methods, experience with R is desirable.
- Experience in databases and scripting (e.g., SQL).
- Demonstrated interest in tools and topics such as Python, R, machine learning, predictive analysis etc.
