**This is a temporary part time 23 hours per week leave relief position until 29th June 2025 with the possibility of extension.**

**What you'll be doing**

This is an allied health position in an exciting acute hospital environment. This role assists the physiotherapy department in delivering care to the inpatients of Wollongong Hospital.

**Where you'll be working**

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

**Talent Pool**

Applicants holding temporary visas with working rights may be considered for a temporary appointment up to the expiry date of their visa. However, this option is only available when no suitable applicant for a permanent appointment is identified.

A National Police Check (criminal history record check) is a requirement for all new appointments to NSW Health and will be undertaken on preferred applicants, with the informed consent of the applicant.

This role is a **Category A **role. Preferred applicants will be reviewed for compliance and required to maintain compliance with the screening, assessment and vaccination requirements, relevant to your position, as outlined in NSW Health policy directive on Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.

For positions designated as child-related employment, or positions that may result in proximity to children, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children clearance number from the Office of the Children's Guardian.

Selection Criteria
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent work experience and a willingness to work towards certification.
- Demonstrated high levels of oral and written communication skills including the proficient use of health based technology
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising Allied Health Professionals.
- Current NSW drivers licence or equivalent.
