**Your new role**

The Principal, Strategy & Performance is responsible for providing trusted and strategic insight, analysis, advice and guidance, drawing together a range of external and internal inputs, to help shepherd the Fund in the next phase of growth and global expansion.

The role enjoys a whole-of-Fund scope with responsibility for long term strategic planning; commercial, competitor, industry and macro-trend analysis to help set the Fund's path, track progress and performance, identify threats and opportunities, to position within the national and global environment.

Some of your key responsibilities will be;
- Ensure the Fund Strategy remains fit for purpose through market and industry cycles and changes, including establishing appropriate metrics and targets for tracking the Fund's progress towards its strategic goals
- Develop and maintain a corporate strategy for mergers and acquisitions, to protect the Fund's positioning in market, identify partnerships to support the Fund achieve the Strategy. M&A strategy may include opportunities for inorganic growth, corporate partnerships to provide strategic and differentiating capabilities or other operations.
- Develop a rolling three-year Strategic Plan for the Fund, delivered annually for endorsement by the Board. This is to be built in conjunction with the Fund's Finance and Reporting department
- Develop and implement the Fund's Strategic Planning Process and ensure it is compliant with regulatory requirements including SPS515, including rolling three-year Fund wide business plan. Develop and implement a regular, relevant whole of Fund reporting and monitoring cadence for performance.

**What you'll need**
- Tertiary qualifications in a strategy, commerce, finance, business or related field (such as Bachelor of Business, Managements, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, economics, Mathematics or Science) (mandatory)
- Post-Graduate qualification in Business Management (highly desirable)
- RG146 (desired)
- Experience developing and delivering commercial strategies appropriate to an industry superannuation fund either within a corporate strategy function or as a management consultant
- Experience developing and delivering organisation wide business planning, reporting and analysis frameworks
- High level analytical and problem-solving experience and skills
- High level communication, influencing, stakeholder management and networking abilities
- Sound understanding of the finance/superannuation industry and its participants, including the political, regulatory, economic and commercial drivers and requirements
- Sound understanding of ethical, commercial business practices
- Demonstrated capacity to work in high pressure and complex environments Ability to lead, develop and motivate a highly specialised team
