Are you a purpose-led racetracks specialist that understands the value in developing, maintaining, and improving racing and training track surfaces throughout Queensland.

Racing Queensland is looking for an experienced racetrack specialist to join our Racing Operations team on a permanent basis with flexible working options.

In the role, you'll bring your industry (best-practice) racing and training track knowledge to keep Queensland racing clubs and Racing Queensland (RQ) compliant across the three codes of racing (Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhounds).

**What you'll do, day to day**
- Ensuring RQ's strategic plans and objectives are achieved by delivering optimal race and training track utilisation.
- Working with the Senior Track and Racecourse Manager on ensuring all tracks are maintained & presented in optimal condition.
- Assisting in transitioning all tracks from reactive management practices to developing and implementing proactive track management methods.
- Assisting in project managing construction and renovations of racing & training track surfaces across the three codes of racing.
- Implementing scientific practices to understand past track performance as well as predicting future track requirements.
- Conducting, on an as-required basis, track inspections preceding race meetings to establish suitability for racing commitments or otherwise recommend and plan remedial measures as and when required to achieve the continuity of racing.
- Furnish RQ Racing Operations with recommendations pertaining to the suitability for racing based on track conditions.
- Assist in creating business cases, reports, Board Papers in support of future race and training track developments.
