We're looking for a Principal Hydrogeologist who brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and proven experience engaging with clients across complex, multidisciplinary projects.About the RoleAs a Principal Hydrogeologist, you'll act as a technical subject matter expert, delivering high-quality hydrogeological assessments, managing groundwater investigations, and guiding both clients and internal teams on best-practice solutions.You will be a key interface between clients, regulators, and project teams-supporting the development of sustainable groundwater strategies for sectors such as mining, infrastructure, water resources, and environmental approvals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and execution of complex hydrogeological investigations and modellingProvide expert technical guidance on groundwater assessment, dewatering, and contamination studiesDevelop and maintain strong client relationships through direct engagement and strategic inputContribute to and review high-quality technical reports and regulatory submissionsMentor junior and mid-level hydrogeologists, fostering a culture of technical excellenceSupport business development, proposals, and project scopingAbout YouBachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or related field12+ years of progressive experience in hydrogeology, ideally in consultingDemonstrated expertise in groundwater modelling (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and field investigationProven track record managing client relationships and delivering high-value solutionsStrong report writing and verbal communication skillsChartered/Registered Professional status highly regardedWhat We OfferA senior role in a high-performing, collaborative teamExposure to industry-leading projects across Australia and the PacificSupportive environment with opportunities for continued technical and leadership growthFlexible working arrangements and competitive salary packagePlease note:Only shortlisted candidates who meet the outlined criteria will be contacted.Only candidates with valid Australian work rights will be considered for this role.To submit your application in strict confidence, click the 'apply' button.
