**Job description**:
As a Chartering Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing cargo or tonnage deals and ensuring the smooth operation of their shipping services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and negotiate charter party agreements for the transportation of goods by sea
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, brokers, and customers
- Analyze market trends and provide insights for effective decision-making
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics and operational efficiency
- Monitor vessel performance and address any operational issues
- Conduct market research and identify potential business opportunities
- Prepare and present reports on chartering activities and market developments

**Job Requirements**:

- Demonstrable successes in Chartering, either in Tonnage or Cargo
- A good understanding of the Australian and local Pacific bulk market
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Permanent right to live and work in Australia
