**About the Role**
This Marketing & Development Officer role forms a key role of the Art & Collections team that is responsible for all marketing, development, and capacity-building support for the Art & Collections activities, including exhibitions and events.
**Duties Key Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of, and oversee implementation of, the Marketing Plan to ensure a high level of brand compliance, engagement and growth in audiences and participation.
- Coordinate and deliver advertising, press releases, social media posts, and other marketing activities.
- Develop and implement functions and events (free and ticketed) that draw new audiences to the Homestead and increase revenue.
- Contribute to policy development and strategic planning especially in relation to marketing, business development and public programs
- It is a requirement of this position that the Marketing & Development Officer is able to work a flexible roster which includes occasional weekend and weeknight hours.
**Skills & Experience**
- Knowledge and experience in marketing, in particular as it relates to visual arts, galleries and museums.
- Knowledge and experience in business development and income generation, in particular as it relates to visual arts, galleries and museums.
- Knowledge and experience in public programs (events), in particular as it relates to visual arts, galleries and museums.
- Good administrative and organisational skills with high levels of attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills including telephone and face to face.
- Previous experience working in a public arts/cultural/heritage facility.
- Working knowledge of equipment used for exhibitions, displays, seminars, floor talks, workshops, demonstrations, meetings, functions and café requirements.
- Bilingual skills would be an advantage.
**Qualifications, Certificates, Licences, and/or Experience**
- Qualifications in one of the following fields; marketing, events, tourism, business development, arts management and/or relevant experience in the arts or cultural heritage sectors.
- Experience working in an arts facility or cultural institution
- Experience with Adobe software (desirable)
- A current Working with Children Card 5.
