One of our Victorian based clients is seeking a Consultant Haematologist. This health service is based within a 2 hour drive from Melbourne CBD; The Unit is a day-stay unit providing a wide range of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological response modifiers and symptom support. Patient care is provided by a multi-skilled team consisting of: medical oncologists, palliative care physicians, haematologists, medical oncology registrars and interns, clinical nurse specialists and oncology nurses who are specialists in chemotherapy administration and management and allied health professionals.

This position is for a Full Time Specialist in Haematology. This is a joint appointment between our client and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

The position incumbent shall work 4 days per week for Lodon Mallee and 1 day per week at Peter Mac. The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive haematology care to the Loddon Mallee region, forming the regional arm of the Peter Mac and Parkville haematology service. This includes clinical oversight of inpatients, a consultancy service, provision of an outpatient clinics, support of subregional hospitals, and strategic service development. This position will work in collaboration with Echuca Regional Health (ERH) to provide cancer services.
