JOB SUMMARY:
This position is an entry-level role that provides the opportunity to participate in the Sales Development Program at Textron Aviation. The Sales Operations Associate (SDP) is a 9-month program that consists of eight functional rotations focusing on key elements of our business. For the first 6 months, training will take place at our headquarters in Wichita, Kansas (USA). During the remaining 3 months, the SDP may travel throughout Australia to work with customers and employees to learn more about the market. The Sales Operations Associate will gain an understanding of business operations, customer-facing roles, product knowledge (Cessna and Beechcraft), business finance, negotiations, customer marketing, and strategy. Upon successful completion, the associate may interview for a customer-facing or field-based position in one of the rotation areas, potentially based in Australia.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in rotations through functions such as Technical Marketing, Product Knowledge (Jets, TurboProps, Pistons), Customer Experience, Marketing, Customer Service, Business Operations, and Sales Operations.
Handle tactical responsibilities and significant projects during each rotation.
Work with a designated sales zone to understand the sales process.
Complete training courses and curricula as assigned.
Support host function leadership during rotations.
Utilize resources like reports and salesforce.com effectively.
Apply learning to professional scenarios.
Collaborate within a team environment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related fields is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and diplomatic demeanor.
Action-oriented with ability to seize opportunities.
Ability to handle ambiguity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Willingness to travel and be mobile.
Authorized to work in Australia.
Valid driver's license.
