**The Service**

**KU Maidstone, is a brand new KU service **, it provides high quality care and education to families of the local community.

This new service will provide care and education for up to 65 children offering long day care, funded kindergarten and allied health services. For the children and families of Maidstone, KU will provide a bespoke centre design and quality play-based program which intentionally enhances opportunities and experiences based upon the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework, for each child to discover and pursue their own interests and strengths.

**The Role**

This **full time, permanent **opportunity will see you working **8 hours per day **, **Monday-Friday **accruing **a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).**

**The Impact You'll Have**
- work as a member of a collaborative team to provide an exceptional educational program for the children within her/his care.
- ensure that up to date records are maintained for each child under that persons care.
- ensure that the policies of KU and the funding authorities are implemented in providing care and educational programs for children.

**What We're Looking For**

We want you to be as dedicated about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are. In addition you will have:

- Current Working With Children Check.
- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- Recognised Certificate III in Children's Services or similar as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills

**In addition you will have**:

- A recognised Completed Certificate III level of qualification in Children's Services or similar as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA).
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Unlimited work rights to enable you to work in Australia.
- Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children.
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
- Working knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF)
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
