About the role
The allied health assistant will provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation, and provide a defined range of treatments as prescribed by allied health professionals, working under their general direction including using decision support tools, clinical pathways and patient guidelines.
About you
- Ability to work as an Allied Health Assistant in a health care environment, including a good understanding of own scope of practice
- Willingness to learn, accept guidance and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Sound oral and written communication skills including effective use of computer programs
- Ability to participate in quality improvement activities under the guidance of an Allied Health professional.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
