In this role you will maintain the department's correctional facilities to an agreed standard in the areas of asset maintenance and property related matters to ensure that front line service delivery can continuously utilise these facilities and land holdings in a secure, safe and legal manner.

**In this role you will**: Ensure the protection and maintenance of the Agency's property and built assets to ensure appropriate service requirements are met Ensure that Agency property and built assets are maintained in accordance with the government's Maintenance Management Framework Ensure that Agency property and built assets comply with health, safety, security and reliability standards and requirements Provide expert advice on the maintenance of custodial centres and built assets including the acquisition and disposal of Agency owned land and buildings, lease arrangements and easement registration Maintain appropriate risk management systems and capability to protect the Agency's property and built assets Assist in the delivery of the major and minor Agency capital works program as required Manage projects as directed by the Director Maintain own level of knowledge of current trends, design specifications, research developments and technology solutions for correctional facilities and built assets Develop the Agency's Strategic Maintenance Plan Contribute to the Agency Assets Strategic Plan Provide strategic advice on the long term plan for the maintenance of custodial centres and built assets Develop and allocate budgets for the maintenance of built assets in consultation with the respective directorates and external maintenance service providers in accordance with the Agency's Asset Maintenance Program Procedure Monitor and oversee the achievement of maintenance budgets and agreed outcomes Ensure all transactions comply with relevant government policies and procedures Assist correctional centre management to meet maintenance requirements within budget allocations Contribute to the development and monitoring of the Facilities budget for the Agency Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring appropriate exchange of information to optimise and enhance the maintenance of Agency property and capability to deliver services
