**About the role**

Baptistcare Warena Gardens are seeking an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator to oversee the Lifestyle and Activities calendar and lifestyle care planning. The role involves developing, implementing and monitoring a Lifestyle program that optimizes the quality of life for our residents.

You will coordinate and manage events and group activities and lifestyle resources, build and develop volunteers, train and support staff in activities to ensure provision of optimum level of person-centered service to all clients.

You will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident's choices and independence. In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

Skills and experience:

- Diploma or Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Health (or related) **Essential**:

- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Previous experience working in an aged care setting (Essential)
- Proven experience developing and coordinating lifestyle plans particularly for residents living with dementia
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and related outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy
