**The Opportunity**:
Our Brisbane studio has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director with a focus in new communities to join the team. You will work closely with our clients to deliver innovative, considered and meaningful place and community outcomes. Working with Tier 1 developers and government, we have a number exciting projects underway bolstered by a future pipeline of new communities master planning across the state and nationally. With this, our urban design team is growing and we a searching for a passionate and experienced Associate director with a focus in new communities master planning.
As an Associate Director, you will be working closely with our local and national designers to deliver integrated master plans in the new communities sector including place visioning and the master planning of urban villages and subdivisions. As part of the design leadership team, you will play a key role in project leadership and delivery and support the growth and development of the broader team through training and mentorship.
Co-ordinating and driving client outcomes, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical and creative design outputs in the creation of place-based master plans. This involves demonstrating a broad understanding, passion, and emerging skill base in the areas of master planning, urban design, built form, and placemaking in new communities.
This is a pivotal role within our national Design team, where you will be a part of a team driven by purpose to deliver significant city projects that create a better future.

**You will be**:

- Providing support to both the local and National Design teams in servicing client requirements. This involves managing small to medium size projects and coordinating with team members from other disciplines.
- You will be working across a wide range of project types from individual sites, broad acre green field developments, urban villages and town centres;
- Providing a broad range of quality services including site analysis, master planning, concept design and documentation for approvals;
- Working efficiently and collaboratively alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, working to direction or a brief, to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial focus;
- Business development activities;
- Assisting with the development of fee proposals and tenders for potential projects;
- Attending meetings to liaise with clients, other consultants industry representatives and other team members;
**About you**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning or a related discipline;
- Relevant experience for the current and emerging projects within Design
- Minimum 8 years of relative experience relative to the role
