Senior Data Analyst – ETL Migration and Testing We are looking for a seasoned expert with over 7 years' experience in mastering the complexities of large-scale investment data testing. This individual must possess strong skills specifically dedicated to ETL validation and have proven competence with SQL.
Location: Melbourne
Rate: $850 – $925 per day
Role Description This position requires a meticulous approach to ensuring high-quality financial data across critical systems through comprehensive testing. Responsibilities involve deep dives into ETL processes, rigorous dataset analysis using SQL/Excel, and collaborating with Business Analysts, Developers and subject matter experts. You will also implement risk-based strategies for prioritizing data validation efforts.
Key Responsibilities Perform detailed testing on large financial datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. Design and execute comprehensive tests for complex investment market ETL pipelines. Collaborate effectively with Business Analysts and Developers to support accelerated delivery of data-driven solutions. Employ risk-based strategies to determine the scope and priority of data quality assurance activities. Manage identified defects through established tracking workflows, ensuring resolution verification.
Required Skills Proven experience testing large volumes of investment market data must have strong conceptual knowledge in this domain could come from any financial services domain across Investment Management/ Banking/Superannuation/ Hedge Funds and or financial advisory. Expert-level ETL Testing capabilities required for this role. Advanced SQL skills necessary for query execution and validation tasks. Proficiency in Excel or equivalent tools is essential for defect tracking and reporting.
Preferred Background & Knowledge Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field. Experience gained within the financial services sector is highly valued. Understanding data quality frameworks, governance standards, and compliance requirements is beneficial.
