Senior Prosecuting Solicitor
Role Overview
The Senior Prosecuting Solicitor is accountable to the Prosecution Manager for providing prosecution services. This includes adjudication, negotiation, and advocacy.
The incumbent manages a wide range of prosecution files across various levels of complexity and supervises, develops, leads, and supports subordinate staff under their control.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on legal matters related to prosecution services.
Manage and oversee the progress of prosecution cases.
Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of prosecution services.
Supervise and support subordinate staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
