Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Bakewell, Australia. As a key member of our management team, you will support the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient team performance.
Lead and motivate the restaurant team during busy service periods, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
Train and develop crew members, focusing on skill improvement and career growth
Proactively enhance guest experience through attentive service and prompt issue resolution
Support inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising waste
Assist in financial management tasks, including cash handling and basic budgeting
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to implement new initiatives and improve operational efficiency
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, striving for high customer satisfaction
Assist in creating staff rotas and managing shift schedules
Contribute to menu planning and special promotions, considering local preferences and seasonal availability
Qualifications
Proven experience leading a team within a busy, high-volume hospitality environment
Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for inspiring, leading, and developing team members
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including familiarity with local standards
Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Basic financial management and budgeting abilities
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Familiarity with local food culture and dining preferences in Stuart Park and surrounding areas
Additional Information
Starting salary $75,000 plus Super
