Graduate Markets Reporter/Presenter

We are looking for a Graduate Markets Reporter/Presenter to join us at The Market Limited.

This role is full-time and based out of our office in the Perth CBD. A keen interest in finance reporting and capital markets is desirable, and working hours will align with ASX operating hours.

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

- Keep abreast of finance and business news & contribute to content discussions
- Preparation of accurate and clearly written scripts on daily ASX company, finance and business news
- Write relevant articles for the TMO website, as directed
- Meet daily broadcast and editorial department deadlines
- Presenting with confidence
- Engage positively with clients and potential clients in conducting Watchlist or Boardroom interviews, or meetings within the office
- Learn from script and article edits made by the editor and executive producer

The successful applicant will possess the following:

- Journalism qualification or cadetship
- Ability to write clear and concise editorial articles and broadcast scripts
- Ability to decipher news from complex ASX announcements
- Friendly demeanour on-camera and clear, well-articulated speech
- Willingness to learn and ambition to progress
- Collaboration with team

The following will be highly regarded:

- On-camera presentation experience
- Some mainstream newspaper/TV/radio experience
- Relevant paid or unpaid work experience
- Passion for ASX markets and business news
