As a private home and community support worker for the elderly your role will be crucial in ensuring our client's well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Working in our clients' homes and local community in the Sunshine Coast region, and depending on your experience and qualifications, your primary duties may include:
**Companionship**: Building a strong and supportive relationship with the client through engaging conversations and shared activities.

**Assistance with Daily Activities**: Helping with tasks like dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting while respecting the client's dignity and promoting independence.

**Mobility Support**:Assisting the client with walking, transferring, and physical activities to ensure safety and prevent falls.

**Social Support**:Accompanying clients to shops/appointments/social outings.

**Transportation**:Providing transportation for the client to medical appointments, social outings, or other necessary destinations.

**Light Housekeeping**:Maintaining a clean and organized living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry duties.

**Meal Preparation**:Cooking pre-prepared or simple nutritious meals in the client's home

**Medication Reminders**: Ensuring the client takes their prescribed medications on time as directed.

**Observation and Reporting**: Monitoring the client's health and behavior, and promptly reporting any changes to appropriate parties.

**Must have Requirements**:
Minimum Cert 3 in Aged Care/Personal Support or similar

Compassion and patience to provide the highest level of care and support to the elderly and people living with a disability.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the client and their family members with uncommon common sense to problem solve.

Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role, which may include assisting with mobility, vacuuming/mopping, pushing wheel chair, etc

This is a sub-contract role and you will need to hold a valid ABN prior to commencement.

You will need to gain a National Criminal Check clearance/Disability Worker clearance upon commencement.

You will need a reliable and registered Motor Vehicle.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: From $51.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Qld Driver Licence (required)
