We are seeking an experienced and hands-on **Department Trainer** for the **Boning Rooms and the Slaughter Floors** to support the development of our team members and help us shape the future of training in the meat processing industry.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our people are skilled, safe, and competent across boning operations and adjoining areas, helping us maintain our reputation for quality and excellence.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Deliver practical, hands-on training both on-the-job and off-the-job in beef and lamb slaughtering/boning and connected operational areas.
- Conduct refresher and re-training sessions to ensure staff competency and compliance with job requirements.
- Support new employees from day one through onboarding and skills development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and verify competency levels across the team.
- Work closely with the Training Manager to identify gaps, prioritise needs, and implement effective training plans.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and promote quality assurance across the department.
**Skills and Experience**
- Strong people skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Solid knowledge of meat processing and related operational areas.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage diverse groups.
- MS Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience delivering training in a production or processing environment.
- HR or Learning & Development-related qualifications are highly regarded.
- A qualification in meat processing is desired.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and highly attentive to detail.
- Ensuring PPE is worn and used correctly
