Our Ground Services team has an exciting opportunity for a highly resourceful and passionate National Workforce Manager whom will report directly to the General Manager of Ground Services. This role is a full-time position and will have a national scope.

The National Workforce Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Resource Planning across all locations, Australia. The job holder will contribute to the overall operational resource planning and management strategy through effective positioning and deployment of resources/equipment in support of the organizations goal of achieving excellence in the customer service experience. He / she will take responsibility in the development of resource requirement scenarios to support the long term and expansion plans and make recommendations to and the management team accordingly.

This role plays a key role and manages the resource aspects of budget planning and control. The role will also be responsible for the management operational resources on the day of operation as well as partnering with the Training department for optimised training plans.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE**
- Identify and recommend improvements to systems and processes (People, systems and equipment) to enhance operational effectiveness through review of established engagement standards, improved rosters, cross-utilization and process re-engineering.
- Prioritize, plan and manage process improvement projects. Long Term Planning in consultation with Senior management and other stakeholders (HR, Finance, Commercial and L&D).
- Consult Senior Management and Line Managers on the results of process improvement opportunities and their impact, including the process changes, benefits, organizational implications, new or modified IT systems, the effects on Management Information Systems and key performance measures. Influence business leaders, process owners and other stakeholders for implementation of potential improvement opportunities.
- Play a key role in the formulation of the Central Planning Department for operational resources in support of the agreed business strategy. Also, to validate, update and maintain the resourcing plan in response to changes to the overall business strategy.
- Establish and manage processes for the analysis and evaluation of the manpower, focusing on operational efficiencies; leave management, training management, attendance and Overtime management, training and cross utilization and other resource requirements. As well as provide statistics for decision making by senior management based on the airline's flight schedules.
- Through comprehensive analysis and recommendations for incremental improvements to our planning, rostering, pre-planning or allocation practices. Provision of regular reports with analysis of productivity related metrics to be reported on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Adhoc reports as required by senior management.
- Initiate, lead and manage Simulation projects and what if scenarios on operational capacity and processes to assess operational strategies, capacity constraints, and potential bottlenecks in response to changes in the Airline's operating plan for existing and/ or future customers. Also, to propose viable business scenarios in support of the future operational and strategic plans.
- Define, propose and manage the upkeep and development of the Resource Management System (RMS) Drive forward the automation of staff related services through implementation and upgrade of relevant systems, ensuring maximum integration amongst the existing systems and eliminating any duplication.
- Accountable for the overall management and monitoring of the Resource allocation unit (Real Time Control) which is responsible for the staff utilisation at all locations across Ground Handling & Cargo while ensuring service level targets are attained through proactive allocation of resources on the day of operation. Ensuring that such costs are managed within budget.
- Lead and manage the central planning team to ensure that management and staff support functions and processes are value adding, streamlined and efficient. The job holder reviews, recommends people related processes such as Attendance, Staff Leave, training nominations, Performance Matters and management. Consult with HR and other stakeholders on possible impact of recommended process changes on existing company policy or procedures.
