Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Assistant Director Transition Communications and Engagement on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Contributing to the strategic direction of projects and business improvement initiatives, driving the strategic and co-ordinated management of targeted communications and engagement activities.
- Leading staff to deliver timely, innovative, efficient and evidence-based communications and engagement strategies, plans, content and activities that support the agency's Corporate Plan and project objectives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders within the agency, guiding the team with best practice ways to provide advice, quality assurance and support to business areas to meet their communication objectives.
- Managing and optimising internal and external communications and engagement channels to reach intended audiences.
- Utilising reporting metrics to review the impact of communication and engagement approaches, identifying areas of overlap and key gaps to continue to refine and improve plans and strategies.
- Identifying and mitigating reputational risks associated with communication, engagement and project activities.
- Fostering creativity and innovation in content creation across a range of channels, sharing best practice and new skills in the team.
