About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and work alongside a team of 3 workshop technicians.
- Manage daily production activities, including testing and refurbishment of extinguisher cylinders.
- Oversee stock control, including ordering consumables and maintaining stock levels for service needs.
- Develop and implement efficient workplace procedures to optimize productivity.
- Liaise regularly with the storeperson, other supervisors, and portable technicians regarding stock and production needs.
- Ensure production lines run smoothly and that KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met consistently.
- Assist with internal and external ISO audit processes.
- Complete internal invoicing, purchase ordering, and maintain associated documentation.
- Maintain production registers and all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Uphold workplace health and safety standards.
About You
- Previous experience in a workshop or production environment, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Familiarity with fire protection equipment servicing is highly desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a small team.
- Good understanding of Australian Standards relevant to fire equipment servicing (training provided if required).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage stock control processes effectively.
- Competent with internal invoicing, purchase ordering, and general administration.
- Strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Forklift licence (preferred)
This is a working role — applicants must be willing to actively participate in workshop tasks as needed. On-the-job training will be provided to ensure a clear understanding of compliance and workplace expectations.
