Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:
Leading and coordinating all day-to-day legal aspects for a portfolio of Big Build Roads projects, making an important contribution to tangible projects across the State.
Providing high quality and pragmatic legal advice, focused primarily on project development, procurement, delivery, contracting and interfaces.
Managing, mentoring, and guiding other legal team members and undertaking people management responsibilities as required.
Collaborating with the Commercial and Legal team, and the broader multi-disciplinary project team, to provide best-for-project solutions.
Managing internal and external legal resources and engaging with and influencing senior decision makers.
Contributing to procurement and contract management tools, standard forms and briefing documents.
About you
You are:
A construction, projects or infrastructure specialist, with extensive experience in contracting and delivery of large, complex projects. Experience with complex collaborative contracting models preferred.
A natural leader – you have experience in managing teams (formally or informally) to achieve best-for-project outcomes. Experience in managing external legal advisors would be a bonus.
A true collaborator – your expert communication and stakeholder management skills ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach in managing complex legal matters in a deadline-driven environment.
Well-versed in managing contractual matters (including drafting and claims) and other complex legal matters throughout the development and delivery of infrastructure projects.
This opportunity is a 6 month fixed term, backfilling a period of parental leave.
